Vivo S50 Series to Launch: According to information given by a business executive on Monday, the Vivo S50 series, which will replace the company’s Vivo S30 portfolio, will be introduced with a Sony IMX882 telephoto camera. The next Vivo S50 series, which is anticipated to have two models, will also come with the same portrait photography imaging algorithm as the company’s most recent flagship phones.

According to a recent report, the rear camera configurations of the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro Mini may be comparable to those of its predecessors, the Vivo S30 and Vivo S30 Pro Mini. The Vivo S50 Pro Mini, code-named “Battle Angel,” is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU.

According to earlier reports, the Vivo S50 series may include a back camera setup akin to that of the Vivo S30 family. For comparison, the standard Vivo S30 has three rear cameras: an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 106-degree field of view, a 50-megapixel primary Sony LYT700V 1/1.56-inch sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter with OIS.

All phones in the upcoming Vivo S50 series will include a Sony IMX882 1/1.95-inch periscope telephoto sensor, which could be a 50-megapixel camera, according to a post made by Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Additionally, it will have the same “clear and natural portrait algorithm” as the flagship phones. It is said to enhance the quality of the images while enabling the phones to record more facial features.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm, which is expected to be released soon, will power the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, according to a recent confirmation from the Vivo product manager. According to him, the phone received almost 3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmarking site.

However, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini also has a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX921 1/1.56-inch sensor on the rear. Additionally, it has an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. For taking selfies and making video calls, both Vivo S30 series phones have 50-megapixel front-facing cameras.
