TVS Apache RTX 300 Launched In India at Rs. 1.99 lakhs

TVS enters the adventure motorcycle segment with the Apache RTX 300, launching in three variants, offering advanced features, multiple ride modes, and a new 299 cc engine tuned for touring and off-road.

TVS Motor Company officially entered the adventure bike space with the launch of its first ADV bike, the Apache RTX 300. This motorcycle has been launched in three different variants: Base, Top, and BTO, with prices starting from Rs. 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs. 2.29 lakh for the top-most BTO variant, while the mid-variant is priced at Rs. 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings have been commenced, and deliveries are expected soon.

Visually, this Apache RTX 300 carries the look of the modern adventure motorcycle. It comes with the semi-fairing, along with integrated dual LED headlamps, a tall windscreen, a short front beak and the muscular fuel tank. It also has a split seat, handlebar-mounted mirrors, a compact tail section, upswept exhaust, knuckle guards, crash guards, a sturdy rear luggage rack and a rear grab rail. Footpegs and handlebars are neutrally positioned for comfort during long rides.

Apache RTX 300 is built on a steel trellis frame with an aluminium die-cast swingarm, which is known as the Syncro-Stiff chassis. The RTX 300 offers 200 mm of ground clearance. The suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD front forks with a rear mono-shock, while the top-most BTO variant offers the adjustable suspension setup. This motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with a unique five-element star-shaped design.

Talking about its braking, which is managed by a 320mm front petal disc with a rear disc backed by dual-channel ABS that is switchable for more control during off-roading. The Apache RTX 300 is also equipped with cruise control, traction control and four riding modes, which are Rally, Urban, Tour, and Rain.

Technology-wise, this bike has a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster along with Bluetooth, map mirroring using Google Maps, navigation, GoPro control, digital document storage, TPMS and dynamic headlamp control. The SmartXonnect app, which supports over 38 connected features, including last parked location with hands-free music control. Higher variants have added features like the class D headlamp with DRLs, a brass-coated chain and adjustable levers.

Power of Apache RTX 300 comes from the new 299.1cc RT-XD4 engine, which is a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC unit producing 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm of peak torque. It gets the 6-speed gearbox paired with the slipper clutch and quickshifter. Also, this engine uses advanced cooling technology and is equipped for strong low-end and mid-range performance of the motorcycle, making it ideal for touring and off-roading.

TVS previously showcased the RTX 300 at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The company is also offering a wide range of riding gears and accessories in a partnership with Alpinestar and has announced plans to launch the dedicated Adventure Training camp for RTX owners.

In the fastest growing 300cc adventure segment, the Apache RTX 300 will directly compete against the KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX, Yezdi Adventure and possibly the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Scram.
