Toyota India Plans 15 New Cars by 2030: Toyota recently disclosed some important insights about its strategy for India, which has begun to gather steam. With earnings at an all-time high, Toyota is planning an ambitious product blitz with the goal of increasing its market share from its present 8% to roughly 10% by the end of this decade. India has risen to become the brand’s third-largest market after the US and China.

Among them is the newly released Land Cruiser FJ, which is built on the same chassis as the Hilux and Fortuner. It will first be offered with a 2.7L gasoline engine and go on sale in a number of international regions in 2026. Given that Toyota may be able to capitalise on the existing localised platform and that it will reportedly have a 4WD system, we do anticipate that it will rank lower than the Fortuner full-size SUV.
A significant portion of this approach is focused on greatly expanding the selection of models it offers. Toyota plans to sell 15 new or updated cars here by 2030. While some will continue the badge-sharing partnership with Suzuki, others will be clean-sheet Toyota initiatives, while the remainder will be updated versions of existing models. Two brand-new SUVs are among the main attractions.

While a brand-new factory is being established in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, the Bidadi complex in Karnataka is undergoing a massive makeover. The company will produce more than 10 lakh units annually when both plants are operating at maximum capacity. As a global centre, the new Maharashtra facility would also transport one of the India-focused SUVs to Africa and the Middle East.
In an effort to increase its client base, Toyota intends to build smaller service bays and showrooms. With record profits and well-performing rebadged models like the Glanza, Rumion, Taisor, and Hyryder, the brand can further utilise its devoted fan base in the luxury markets with the introduction of new products.

Additionally, Toyota is developing an affordable pickup that will be a step down from the Hilux yet appealing to those who require a basic utility vehicle with practicality in mind. As a result, the price may be competitive, although we are unsure if it will be based on the Hilux Champ that is offered in Thailand. Toyota is investing heavily in production in order to release this enlarged lineup in significant quantities.
