Tata Sierra EV

Since the impending electric version of the new Sierra will have a dual electric motor arrangement, the domestic manufacturer has announced that an all-wheel-drive setup will be added later. The Sierra EV, which is anticipated to share battery packs with the Harrier EV, may have a range of over 500 kilometres between charges and be capable of bidirectional charging.

Regarding the ICE version, an AWD version has not been ruled out, suggesting that development on it may have already started and that it may be available in the future. Customers currently have the option of one diesel motor and two gasoline engines. The new 1.5-litre TGDi turbo GDI produces a substantially stronger 160 PS and 255 Nm than the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre Revotron NA gasoline engine, which produces 106 PS and 145 Nm.

The Sierra comes in six exterior colour options and seven trim levels: Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. Since the brand has historically been linked to both luxury and adaptability, many aficionados have always desired an all-wheel drive setup for the new model.

With its wide glasshouse, upright stance, boxy form and contemporary stylistic elements, the new Sierra is obviously inspired by the original model. A panoramic glass top, JBL audio with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, terrain response modes, a 360-degree video system, Level 2 ADAS, automatic climate management and a triple screen layout are just a few of its many features.

Tata Sierra Interior New Teaser Reveals

In the meantime, the 1.5-litre diesel produces up to 280 Nm of torque and 120 PS. A 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox are the available transmission options. More customised versions and possibly different seating arrangements are possible because it is built on Tata’s modular ARGOS platform, which was designed to accommodate various powertrain options and future body styles.
