As of now, the CNG option has been limited to the manual variants of the Magnite. With this update, Nissan becomes one of the fewer manufacturers in India that offer a factory-approved CNG kit for both MT and AMT compact SUVs. This kit has been developed by Motozen Fuel System and is fully compliant with the safety and emission standards.
The key upgrade is the repositioning of the CNG fuel valve. Which is earlier located inside the engine bay, but it is now integrated into the regular fuel lid. These changes enhance daily usability and ensure a cleaner, more ergonomic fuelling experience of the vehicle.
The retrofit kit from Nissan, which is now available starting from September 22, 2025, will only be installed at authorised Nissan CNG centres across 13 Indian states, including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The price of this kit is Rs. 71,999, which also reflects the recent GST cut from 28 percent to 18 percent, which Nissan has passed all the benefits to customers without raising the base price of the kit.

The powertrain of the Magnite is the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. Because the official CNG output figures are not published publicly, the petrol-only variants are paired with the 5-speed manual or the 5-speed AMT gearbox, both now eligible for this CNG conversion.
The Nissan also provides a 10-year extended warranty plan, which is the first in this segment, that can be availed in addition to the 3-year / 1,00,000 km standard warranty offered by the company on the retrofit kit.
