Next month, the new-generation Kia Seltos will likely make its global debut before going on sale in markets like India in early 2026.
Along with the Sonet, Kia’s Seltos, which debuted domestically in 2019, has played a significant role in the brand’s development. Kia offered the mid-life upgrade for the Seltos a few years ago in response to the competition in the midsize SUV sector, which has only grown more intense over time. Now, the company is getting ready to launch a new model.

The SUV maintains its balanced position when viewed from the side, but its details have been updated. Its proportions are slightly altered by the new Y-shaped dual-tone alloys, noticeable wheel arches, and a unique triangular rear-quarter window. Redesigned C-shaped LED taillights at the back are connected by a thin light bar, and the bumper and tailgate are also brand-new.
A redesigned grille with a complex mesh pattern is framed by a more upright snout in the front section. It is flanked by vertically stacked LED headlights that optically link to C-shaped LED daytime running lights that extend into the outside margins of the bumper. The bumper has become chunkier, and the bonnet has deeper creases.
Before arriving in markets like India in early 2026, the new-generation Kia Seltos is anticipated to make its world premiere in South Korea on December 10, 2025. It is clear from the most recent camouflaged prototypes that this will be the SUV’s most extensive redesign since its launch. Inspired by the recently launched worldwide Telluride, almost every external panel appears to have been redesigned.

The interior of the cabin is anticipated to be entirely renovated. The new dashboard will have a broader, flatter design with new textures and more upscale soft-touch materials. The main feature will be a larger floating touchscreen that is housed in a single, connected enclosure with a cluster of digital instruments. Anticipate improved infotainment software and ambient lighting.
The SUV will continue to be powered by its tried-and-true 1.5-litre normally aspirated gasoline, 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline, and 1.5-litre diesel engines, all of which come with manual and automatic gearbox options. There is, however, increasing discussion about a hybrid version being added later in the lifespan for several markets, including maybe India. For some models, the SUV may also be available with all-wheel drive in other countries; this feature might not be available in India.

Although the technological package might be upgraded, the well-known features like the panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat with memory, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and six airbags should remain. It is anticipated that the new Seltos will have more ADAS features to enhance its safety credentials.
