The second-generation Seltos will take on a more boxy and upright posture than the present model, according to spy photos and teasers. With its sharper lines, vertical LED daytime running lamps, and integrated light bars at the front and back, the design is inspired by larger Kia SUVs like the Telluride and EV9.
By then, the redesigned Seltos will compete in a more crowded small SUV market with new competitors like the Nissan Tekton and the upcoming Renault Duster. However, since the powerful hybrid is anticipated to come around a year after the regular gasoline and diesel vehicles, purchasers who are interested in it will have to wait longer.
The present engine options are anticipated to be carried over to the second-generation Seltos upon launch. Customers can anticipate the more potent 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, the well-known 1.5-litre normally aspirated petrol engine with 115 PS and 144 Nm, and the 1.5-litre diesel. Multiple automatic choices and manual gearboxes should be available on all trim levels.
