MG Windsor EV Breaks Records: According to JSW MG Motor India, the MG Windsor has set a new record for a passenger EV by surpassing the 50,000 unit sales milestone in just over a year since its market launch. The Windsor EV received 15,176 reservations within 24 hours of its October 2024 launch and went on to become the most popular EV for several months, with an average of five units sold every hour since its debut.

The MG Windsor EV’s range was expanded earlier this year with the launch of the Pro models, which come in Essence Pro and Exclusive Pro trim levels. The ARAI-certified 52.9 kWh battery pack used in all models has a 449 km driving range when fully charged. With features like Level 2 ADAS and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities, the Essence Pro model in particular raises the ante.
The company just unveiled the Windsor Inspire limited edition, which increased the enthusiasm. Customers entering the EV market for the first time are drawn to its pricing, which starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh under the BaaS model plus Rs. 3.9 per kilometre. The power delivery is 200 Nm and 136 PS. The cabin is packed with contemporary amenities and technologies, and has a more aerodynamic shape.
It has a big 15.6-inch touchscreen entertainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as seats that can recline up to 135 degrees.
Customers who choose the Battery-as-a-Service package can purchase the Windsor Pro for Rs. 13.09 lakh and pay Rs. 4.5 per kilometre for battery usage. The completely owned version of the five-seat crossover starts at Rs. 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for consumers who prefer a traditional purchase approach.
