Mahindra XUV 7XO Launch Early 2026: Mahindra & Mahindra filed trademark applications for new names, including XUV 1XO, XUV 3XO, XUV 5XO and XUV 7XO, early last year. The XUV 7XO was initially believed to be the XUV.e8 concept-based three-row electric SUV based on the XUV 700, but the XUV 3XO turned out to be the rebranded XUV 300 with numerous internal and external updates.

However, since it is built on the same INGLO platform as the XEV 9E, we officially know that the brand’s first all-electric three-row offering will be called the XEV 9S. Therefore, it makes sense to use the XUV 7XO nameplate for the updated XUV 700, which has been spotted testing several times in recent months.
The front end of the vehicle is somewhat altered, with new headlamp components and a revised bumper. As you might anticipate, the general profile will not alter and Mahindra appears to be keeping the iconic flush-type door handles from the present model. Additionally, a new alloy wheel design is anticipated for the XUV 7XO.
The XUV 1XO and XUV 5XO names may eventually be replaced by a micro SUV and a 4.3-meter-long midsize SUV, respectively, or they may remain unused, as it is currently too early to tell. The Mahindra XUV 7XO will go on sale in the first quarter of next year and will undergo numerous changes.
It might also keep the present model’s glasshouse and general size. Mahindra will probably add a few additional exterior paint options to go along with these minor design changes. Although the interiors appear to have been slightly altered, the XUV700’s rear taillights appear to have kept their recognisable shape.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO will also have USB Type-C connectors, a 360-degree camera system, ambient lighting, full-LED lighting, multiple airbags, adjustable headrests and more. The 2.0-litre mStallion gasoline engine and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will continue to power the 2026 Mahindra XUV700.

Mahindra seems to be making significant interior changes, as evidenced by the improved materials, equipment and detailing that draw inspiration from its most recent electric cars. A new triple-screen arrangement will be at the top of the equipment list. There will still be wireless phone charging, automated climate control, front-ventilated seats and an upgraded set of Level 2 ADAS features.
