Mahindra stated that the interior of the XEV 9S will resemble that of the 9e in one of the most recent video teasers. The video showed the future model with sliding second-row seats, a two-spoke steering wheel with touch-operated controls and an illuminated company emblem, and three 12.3-inch displays built into the dashboard.
Some of the most advanced safety measures available for vehicles built in India will be included in the Mahindra XEV 9S. Its extensive list of cutting-edge driver assistance features will include a Forward Collision Warning System, Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Drowsiness Detection, Evasive Steering Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Centring Function, Traffic Sign Recognition, Front Vehicle Start Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Forward and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Door Open Alert. Excellent passive safety will be provided by seven airbags.

AR-HUD, memory-equipped ventilated front seats, six-way power adjustment, manual lumbar support for the driver, a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, and 65-watt USB Type-C fast-charging outlets should be among the Mahindra XEV 9S’s other interior highlights. Sequential turn indicators, 19-inch alloy wheels, a kick-activated power tailgate, and a spacious trunk with an extra 150 litres of cargo space are all expected exterior features.
Both the standard-range and long-range versions of the XEV 9S, with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driving the rear wheels, will likely be available from Mahindra. The motor in the former should generate 228 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, while the motor in the latter should generate 282 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. There will probably be a 59 kWh LFP battery pack in the base model and a 79 kWh LFP battery pack in the top model. The latter may have a range of over 600 km, while the former may have a range of nearly 500 km.
