The Kawasaki Z1100 comes with a 134 hp engine, some major Mechanical changes, while the design has not changed much, similar to the older model.
Kawasaki Z1100 Launched in India: The Z1100, which completes Kawasaki‘s trio of 1100 cc motorcycles, has been launched and represents the aggressive ‘Sugomi’ style in a super naked form. Another name for the bike is the ‘Big Zed’. The brand dropped it, but it has since come back with some modifications. Although there haven’t been many design modifications, there have been some major technical adjustments. Here, we examine every aspect of the machine.

Powerful 1,099 cc Engine with More Capacity
First, the Kawasaki Z1100 is powered by a 1,099 cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 134 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of maximum torque at 7,600 rpm. This is coupled with a gearbox with six speeds. The firm has altered the motor unit’s bore and stroke to obtain the additional capacity. A heavier rotating mass and a new crankshaft are used to deal with this.
Tyres and Grip Performance
Kawasaki Z1100 shares the same size tires as the Ninja, measuring 120/70-ZR17 and 190/50-ZR17 (front and rear), but it uses the same compound—Dunlop Sportmax Q5A—as the Z900.
High-Spec Suspension Setup
Kawasaki Z1100 is supported by fully adjustable Showa suspension systems and shares the same aluminium frame as the Ninja 1100SX. The higher-spec SE version of the Z1100 has an Ohlins S46 monoshock with a remote preload adjuster and a Showa fork, whereas the normal Z1100 has Showa forks.

Rider Assistance and Safety Enhancements
As opposed to the previous Z1000, which had only dual-channel ABS and no slip/assist clutch during its first few years, the new Z1100 has a number of riding assistance features. A five-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) supports this set, which has two power modes (Full and Low), three traction control levels with the ability to disengage them, a bidirectional quickshifter, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS.
Upgraded Braking System
The regular Z1100’s braking system uses Kawasaki-branded Tokico radial callipers and is very similar to the Ninja 1100SX’s. In contrast to the Ninja’s 300mm dual disc setup, the Z1100 has larger 310mm dual discs. The braking system of the SE model is significantly better than that of the regular model, thanks to the addition of steel-braided brake lines and Brembo M4.32 callipers.
Revised Cylinder Head and Exhaust System
A cylinder head with improved camshafts and valve springs delivers fuel and air to the combustion chambers using a new set of electronic, ride-by-wire throttle controls on the intake side of the Z1100. The engine now breathes through a new 4-2-1 exhaust system, which replaces the dual pipes used on the previous Z1000, and the pistons have also been modified.

Modern Tech Features
In technological terms, it has a 5-inch colour TFT screen that was taken from the latest Z900 model. Because this display is Bluetooth compatible, you can use the Kawasaki app to connect your phone and use it for music playback and navigation.

PPX Saying
The Kawasaki Z1100 represents a significant return in the super naked motorcycle market. It combines bold Sugomi styling with real mechanical upgrades. 134 hp 1,099 cc engine, updated bore-stroke ratio, and better exhaust, the Z1100 aims for sharper performance and improved responsiveness.
With the support of a five-axis IMU, riders may make use of premium suspension options, improved braking parts, and safety features like quickshifter, different power modes, and traction control. Despite the minor design modifications, the mechanical and technological improvements make this bike a contemporary powerhouse.
