Design and Practical Features
Other than the aforementioned, River Indie Gen 3 has not undergone any notable alterations. The scooter features a step-up seat design, a flat floorboard, foldable footpegs, LED indicators, and rectangular twin beam LED headlamps with position lighting. The sides, which double as an auxiliary mount, are equipped with protective bars. Additionally, the side panels of the scooter feature pannier mounts. These also serve to safeguard the vehicle and the rider.
New App-Based Features
New features on the River app are among the most significant changes. Information like ride data and real-time charging status will now be accessible to users. Additionally, users can now access data points based on their preferences and needs thanks to new personalisation options. The 6-inch display has been redesigned to clearly and sharply show important information like charging status and range.
Battery and Performance
The 4-kWh battery pack of the River Indie electric scooter is capable of rapid charging. Reaching 0-80% with a 750-watt charger takes about five hours. Continuous power production is 4.5 kW (6.11 PS), whereas peak power output is 6.7 kW (9.1 PS). The scooter’s torque output is 26 Nm, and in rush mode, it can go from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.7 seconds.

Enhanced Safety and Riding Dynamics
The Gen 3 model adds hill-hold assist for further safety, even though the River Indie already has a wide array of safety measures. Grippier tyres that can readily handle puddles, potholes, and uneven terrain have been introduced by River. Additionally, 14-inch alloy wheels contribute to comfortable rides in a variety of settings. Front tyres are 110/70 and rear tyres are 120/70. According to River, client feedback has also led to improvements in riding dynamics.
Current Presence and Future Plans
Major cities, including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Patna, Kochi, Coimbatore, and Hubli, already have the company’s stores. River intends to have 80 outlets overall by the conclusion of this fiscal year. New river exits are being planned in central and northern India in the upcoming months. Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab are among the states that will be covered.
Network Expansion
River Mobility is actively expanding its network of outlets throughout India. The business just established its first location in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. This is a component of the business’s strategy to increase its visibility in the northern area. River Mobility now operates 34 locations in major cities with this most recent acquisition.
Sales and Milestones
River Mobility has already reached significant milestones in 2025, including monthly sales of 1,000 units and revenue of Rs 100 crore. More than 13,000 Indie scooters were in use nationwide as of August 2025.
