It also got a 4-star rating for Child Occupant Protection (COP), scoring 40 out of 49 points. In the Indian market, the Aircross SUV comes with over 40 safety features, including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Hold Assist, and ISOFIX.

Strong Build and Premium Features
The Aircross was designed with high-strength steel, Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS) to successfully handle front and side impacts while preventing cabin penetration. Some of the SUV’s significant features include LED projector headlamps, automatic air conditioning with climate control, power folding ORVMs, and rear AC vents.
Bharat NCAP Crash Testing and Upcoming Launch
Citroen India also reported that the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP) conducted crash tests on the 5S edition of the Aircross, which has a flexible seating configuration. The French brand said that the Aircross X will be officially launched in India over the next few days. It will be the second ‘X’ model in India, following the Basalt.
Turbocharged Performance and Transmission Choices
Higher-end variants are powered by the 1.2L 3-cylinder turbocharged PURETECH 110 engine, which can produce 108.6 bhp at 5500 rpm and 190 Nm at 1750 rpm. It is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions, with claimed fuel efficiency of 18.50 and 17.60 kmpl, respectively.
Engine Options and Variants
In India, the Citroen Aircross is supplied with two petrol engines. Customers can choose the naturally aspirated 1.2L 3-cylinder Puretech 82 engine, which produces 81 bhp at 5750 rpm and 115 Nm at 3750 rpm while returning 17.50 kmpl. This engine is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Citroen Aircross SUV starts at Rs 8.32 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level model, which rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. You can trim while paying as much as Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping Turbo AT Max Dual Tone 5+2 variant.
