Exports Surge While Domestic Growth Remains Modest
Exports increased by 12% to 1,57,665 units, while domestic volumes grew slightly to 2,73,188 units. The main feature of the commercial vehicle division’s results was the international demand, which increased 67% to 27,587 units, offsetting a 1% decline in the local market, which concluded at 52,064 units.
Commercial Vehicle Division Shows Strong Export Demand
The total number of commercial vehicles was 79,651 units, representing a 15% increase in volume from the previous year. Bajaj was able to increase overall sales to 24,05,357 units during the April–September 2025 half-year, which is 4% more than the 23,23,560 units sold during the same time in the previous fiscal year.
Exports Offset Slow Domestic Market for Bajaj
Exports from the two-wheeler industry increased by 17% to 8,91,858 units during this time, while domestic sales decreased by 8% to 11,25,920 units. The six-month total for the commercial vehicle division was 3,87,579 units, which represents a 14% increase over the 3,39,435 units sold a year earlier. Once more, exports were the top performer, rising 51% to 1,37,898 units, while domestic volumes increased 1% to 2,49,681 units.

Bajaj Introduces Price Cuts Across Two-Wheeler Lineup
When combined, the company’s global presence has undoubtedly been bearing the brunt of the slow domestic market, especially for two-wheelers. It has been clear that both groups’ export sales are strong. Bajaj has announced price reductions for all of its two-wheeler models while absorbing price increases for the Pulsar NS400 Z and Bajaj Dominar 400.
Festive Discounts Expected to Boost Demand
In certain states, the price of the Pulsar RS200 has decreased by more than 26,000 thanks to Bajaj Auto’s holiday deal, which also includes a GST discount and other advantages. Due to the favourable buying attitudes and the appropriate price reductions, it is anticipated that total demand will increase during the remaining months of this year.

PPX Saying
The performance of Bajaj Auto in September 2025 demonstrates the company’s increasing reliance on exports to fuel growth, despite the weak domestic two-wheeler market. A notable 67% increase in commercial vehicle exports and a 12% increase in two-wheeler exports were the main drivers of the 9% increase in overall sales.
Bajaj reported 4% greater sales on a half-yearly basis than in FY25, with exports driving the increase once again. Demand is anticipated to be boosted during the next holiday season by the company’s calculated festive discounts and GST-linked price reductions, which include significant drops on models like the Pulsar RS200.
