Hyundai may keep using its well-known 1.5-litre gasoline, turbocharged gasoline, and diesel engines under the hood. The main change, though, will be the addition of a powerful hybrid system built on a 1.5-litre gasoline engine with natural aspiration. The purpose of this hybrid system is to increase fuel efficiency and comply with more stringent emission regulations.
The next-generation Creta will be the plan’s largest volume driver. The new model, internally referred to as SX3, is now being developed and will be built on a completely new platform. To stay competitive in the midsize SUV market, expect slight adjustments to its overall proportions, a sharper exterior design, and a completely new interior arrangement.
Hyundai is developing a new three-row SUV known internally as Ni1i in addition to the hybrid Creta. It is anticipated to be situated between the Alcazar and the now-closed Tucson, catering to clients seeking greater room and a more upscale atmosphere than the Alcazar provides. Around the same time in 2027, a hybrid-ready 1.5-litre gasoline engine is anticipated to be used.

Given that the electric version is currently available, it will probably aid Creta in increasing its range. It is anticipated that the product rollout schedule will extend into 2027. According to reports, the Creta EV facelift will come after the arrival of the new ICE Creta. This suggests that Hyundai wants to stabilise its petrol and hybrid lineup before updating its electric options in the market.
Lastly, India may still be able to choose the worldwide Palisade Hybrid. As a flagship hybrid vehicle, it would be at the top of Hyundai’s local SUV portfolio. In other countries, it has a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor that produces 334 horsepower and 460 Nm. Despite its small size, it is said to have a fuel efficiency of more than 14 kmpl. A possible debut in India might occur closer to 2028.

The strategy calls for extensive localisation, and some of these future models are anticipated to be exported to foreign markets.
