Echoing the brand’s more recent electric design aesthetic found in the XEV 9e, it extends across the dashboard. Highlights include a two-spoke steering wheel with the Twin Peaks insignia, thin air vents and a light interior theme. Over the past week or two, Mahindra has teased reclining second-row seats with boss mode and a full panoramic glass roof.
Mahindra might aim for a real-world driving range that is significantly longer than 500 kilometres. With Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, powered and ventilated front seats with memory, wireless charging, connected car technology, a motorised tailgate, Harman Kardon and a fully digital instrument dashboard, safety and equipment will be equally important.

The most recent teaser features rear entertainment options via its BYOD system, which enables users to install their own tablets or screens without physically installing bulky integrated hardware in the headrest or seat backs. In addition to rear air vents, centre armrests, several storage places and cupholders, Mahindra has demonstrated both a traditional boot and a functional front frunk.
It purposefully avoids having an electrified XUV700 appearance from the outside. The front uses a full-width light bar, boomerang LED signatures and a stacked lamp system with individual projectors. It stands out among Mahindra’s EV lineup thanks to its closed snout and smoother contours. A continuous triple-screen arrangement dominates the cabin.

The INGLO skateboard platform, which already supports the BE 6 and XEV 9e, is the foundation for the Mahindra XEV 9S. Various battery and motor configurations are supported by the modular design. When compared to its two-row electric brothers, a three-row SUV’s extra weight and size may have a little impact on overall performance and efficiency ratings.
