2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is slated to get minor cosmetic upgrades, but the engine options will likely remain the same

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Front End: The first official look at the front face of Maruti Suzuki’s small SUV, which is scheduled for a mid-cycle update, has suddenly appeared online. While most body panels were concealed, the updated fascia was still visible in a fully camouflaged test car that was observed operating on public roads. This appears to be a minor update rather than a drastic makeover based on what is currently visible.

Maruti Suzuki pioneered this concept with the Brezza’s brother, the Victoris and it might now be a key differentiator for the revised version. In terms of style, the Brezza is expected to keep its iconic profile and glasshouse, implying no significant changes to the fundamental sheet metal. The rear tail lamps may be significantly altered, while the alloy wheels on the test mule appear to be the same as the current model.

What has piqued interest, however, is not the style but what is going on underneath. The identical test vehicle was previously photographed with a CNG sticker on its back windshield. It appears to have an underfloor CNG tank configuration rather than the boot-mounted setup we are accustomed to. If this is true for the production vehicle, it will free up luggage room, which has long been an issue with factory-fitted CNG automobiles.

Other noticeable features include a shark-fin antenna and a roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated high-mounted stop lamp. There’s also mounting speculation that the 2026 Brezza will receive Level 2 ADAS. Although none of the sensors were plainly apparent on the spotted test mule, rumours point to technologies such as adaptive cruise control.

Transmission options are anticipated to remain similar, with a manual gearbox for both fuel types and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the petrol vehicle. Earlier in 2025, the Brezza was updated with six standard airbags and other safety features. It will continue to be built on the Global C platform.

2026 Brezza Facelift Spied

If approved, it would help the Brezza remain competitive as more competitors offer advanced driver aid systems. On the mechanical side, Maruti Suzuki is unlikely to change the principles. The 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine should continue to produce 102 horsepower and 137 Nm. The CNG version is projected to maintain its existing power output of 87 horsepower and 121.5 Nm.
