Mahindra has released a fresh teaser that validates a number of interior and design aspects that were previously exclusive to the XUV.e8 concept. Mahindra has verified the existence of boss mode, which features a wide panoramic sunroof that extends over the interior and reclining back seats.
Inside, the dashboard is dominated by a large triple-screen arrangement that is conceptually identical to the XEV 9e. The teaser also shows a shark fin antenna at the back, a two-spoke steering wheel with the Twin Peaks insignia, and a delicate, light-toned interior concept. The second-row arrangement is a major highlight of the most recent view.
The XEV 9S has a more futuristic stacked headlight design up front instead of the well-known lighting signature of the ICE-powered XUV700. It stands out in Mahindra’s expanding EV lineup thanks to its closed-off grille, crisp light bar treatment, and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs.

The third row’s packaging is still unknown, but the second row is roomy and is obviously intended for chauffeur-driven owners. The XEV 9S is based on Mahindra’s modular INGLO platform, which also serves as the foundation for the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
Features include six airbags as standard, wireless charging, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assistance, powered front seats with ventilation and memory features, a complete digital ecosystem across displays, Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, and adjustable headrests.

Thus, it is anticipated that the three options for batteries and motors will be closely related. However, performance metrics and range may slightly change due to the additional weight and girth of a three-row body. Mahindra is nevertheless anticipated to aim for a practical driving range of more than 500 kilometres on a single charge.
