The brand has picked its most recognisable nameplate to commemorate its 125-year motorcycle journey, which started back in 1901. At first glance, its paintwork stands out.

The rest of the motorcycle has been purposefully blacked out, in contrast to the colourful tank. The frame, handlebars, wire-spoke wheels, exhaust pipes, engine casings, and even the headlight and taillight bezels are all blackened. The Classic 650 appears more contemporary because of the stark treatment, which also lets the unique colour palette shine.
Royal Enfield hasn’t modified the tried-and-true arrangement mechanically. The well-known 648 cc parallel-twin engine, which is designed for long-distance driving and is renowned for its smooth power delivery, still powers the anniversary model. The output, which is still 46 horsepower and 52 Nm, is matched with a six-speed gearbox that is standard on all of RE’s twin-cylinder models and incorporates a slipper clutch.
The colour-changing finish, which Royal Enfield refers to as “Hypershift,” alternates between rich gold and deep crimson when light passes over the surface. The Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition’s side panels also feature the same commemorative crest, and the tank with the “125 Years” emblem becomes the focal point of the improved visual appeal.
The motorcycle has been displayed abroad, and it looks like it will soon be released in India. Royal Enfield is anticipated to market this edition as a limited-edition product due to the celebration’s importance and the meticulous attention to detail, and its prices may be revealed at the Motoverse event in Vagator. At the EICMA event in Milan, RE unveiled several new goods, some of which may also be available in Goa.

In addition to the paint job and mechanics, the limited edition Classic pays homage to the brand’s history. The proportionate posture, the nacelle-style headlamp, and the teardrop tank silhouette are examples of design cues that RE motorcycles have been using for generations.
