2026 Brezza Facelift Spied: A heavily camouflaged prototype of the second-generation Brezza, which is getting ready for a major update, was spotted testing on public roads for the first time. Although the covers did their best to conceal the bodywork, a few changes were still visible.

The greenhouse’s overall design appears familiar, indicating that Maruti Suzuki does not intend to make significant sheet metal modifications. Nevertheless, the alloy wheels might also get a new design and the tail lamp cluster seems to have undergone a minor update. A shark fin antenna sits above, while a hidden spoiler with a top-mounted stop lamp can also be visible.

It’s interesting to note that the spy photos sparked discussion about something much more important than the design changes: the test mule had a CNG sticker on the rear glass and the person who recorded it asserted that the test mule carries its CNG tank underneath the body instead of inside the boot, saving space.

If this system makes it to the production-spec vehicle, the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza would follow the footsteps of the Victoris which pioneered the largest manufacturer in the country’s underfloor CNG solution — eliminating the long-standing boot space compromise seen on typical CNG cars. It might offer the Brezza a huge advantage too, amongst competitors.

Although none of the sensors were clearly visible through the wrap, there are rumours that the facelifted Brezza may upgrade to a Level 2 ADAS system, which would put it in a much stronger position against competitors who currently offer lane support technology, collision mitigation and adaptive driver aids.

Pairings of gearboxes might not alter either, since a 6-speed automatic option is probably available for both manual and gasoline vehicles. Six airbags and other safety improvements were added to the Brezza by Maruti Suzuki earlier this year. It will stay on the Global C platform, where it received a four-star GNCAP rating. With better safety features, it may be able to achieve complete marks in its next avatar.

The dependable 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder motor is anticipated to continue; the factory CNG version will probably stick to its 87 horsepower and 121.5 Nm output, while the petrol engine should maintain its familiar 102 horsepower and 137 Nm tune. In terms of mechanics, the brand does not appear to be rewriting the fundamentals.
