The end product is a really laid-back and broad-shouldered touring machine, the kind of behaviour that Bullet supporters have always desired but have never really had from the earlier singles. The chassis philosophy hasn’t been altered by Royal Enfield either. Its core is a steel spine frame that supports 43 mm telescopic forks up front with 120 mm travel and twin shocks at the back with 90 mm travel.

However, the same 647.95 cc parallel-twin that powers RE’s larger twins is located beneath that antique skin. The engine that powers the Interceptor, GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun and other vehicles is essentially the same. This air-and-oil-cooled twin generates 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm and 47 horsepower at 7,250 rpm. Additionally, the slipper clutch and six-speed gearbox remain unaltered.

The metal panels, handlebars and bench seat all feel purposefully retro. The new Royal Enfield Bullet 650 enters 2025 with a few modifications. LED lighting is standard on the instrument console, which blends conventional analogue dials with a digital reading for gear position, trip statistics and service reminders.

Motorcycle’s classic stance and steady poise are attributed to its 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel. A 320 mm front disc and a 300 mm rear disc with a dual-channel ABS standard provide stopping power. The fenders are polished in chrome, the teardrop tank still has hand-laid pinstripes and a contemporary LED headlamp is flanked by vintage “tiger eye” pilot lighting.

Two hues, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue, are available in international markets for 6,749 GBP and 7,499 USD, respectively, in North America. India will soon receive it and given RE’s custom of using locally manufactured twins, a competitive sticker tag of about Rs. 3.40 lakh (ex-showroom) is anticipated, as the MotoVerse event in Goa might be the one to keep an eye on!
