The Maruti Suzuki Dzire’s continued success over the past few months has been largely attributed to the introduction of the new-generation Dzire, which features a completely redesigned exterior and interior, new features and technologies, and enhanced safety that has earned it a full five stars in crash tests. The Hyundai Aura was a good distance behind, but it was still firmly in second place.

The midsize pair from Skoda and Volkswagen persisted in their intense competition. The Virtus provided 2,453 units, a little increase of 4% over the total from the previous year. The Slavia came next with 1,648 units, which was nearly the same as its 1,637 units in October 2024. The Tigor, Tata’s only sedan, continued to grow in popularity.

Honda’s entry-level sedan continues to have strong momentum, as evidenced by the Amaze’s 52% increase over the 2,393 units recorded during the same period last year. However, the favourable numbers might be attributed to the holiday season and the price reduction associated with GST 2.0.

The Toyota Camry, a niche hybrid sedan, managed 276 units at the bottom of the list, up 57% from 176 units the previous year.
