Hyundai Sales Report October 2025: Due to the combined effects of Diwali and GST changes, most automakers saw an increase in sales in October; Hyundai was one of the few exceptions. Last month, the South Korean carmaker ranked fourth on the sales leaderboard, after Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Maruti Suzuki.

In October 2025, the Creta maintained its top spot and had a 5% year-over-year increase from 17,497 units to 18,381 units. Despite being in its runout phase, the first-generation Venue recorded an 8% year-over-year increase, selling 11,738 units in October 2025 compared to 10,901 units in the same month the previous year. Sales of the Aura, which increased by 21% from 4,805 units a year ago to 5,815 units last month, were the only other Hyundai model that showed a gain.
In October 2025, Hyundai supplied 53,792 vehicles to India, a 3% decrease from 55,568 vehicles in October 2024. Last month, the company had eleven models available in our market, but almost all of them were in the red.

In October 2025, 6,294 Hyundai Exter units were sold, competing with the Tata Punch, India’s top-selling vehicle (CY2024). This represented a 12% decrease from October 2024, when Hyundai sold 10,901 of the micro-SUV. Sales of the similarly related Hyundai Grand i10 decreased by 13%, from 6,235 to 5,426 units.
In October 2025, the Hyundai Tucson was in its final full month of sales before switching to imports. Last month, Hyundai sold 26 of the worldwide SUVs, which is 82% fewer than the 141 units sold in the same month last year. It seems Hyundai is getting rid of the last of the Ioniq 5’s inventory. The electric crossover’s sales dropped from 32 to just 6 units, an 81% decrease.

Sales of the Hyundai i20 fell precipitously by 25% in October 2025 compared to the previous year. Hyundai delivered 4,023 i20s last month as opposed to 5,354 in October 2024. Even worse was the Hyundai Verna, which saw a 35% decline from 1,272 sales in October of last year to only 824 units. Of all the locally produced vehicles, the Hyundai Alcazar experienced the worst drop, going from 2,204 to 1,259 units, a 43% decrease.
