Mahindra XEV 9S

The XEV 9S, Mahindra’s first all-electric three-row SUV, is scheduled to make its world premiere on November 27 at the “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru. It is based on the brand’s INGLO skateboard platform, which is found in the XEV 9e and BE 6. This naturally electric architecture was created for better weight distribution, increased efficiency, and improved interior packaging.

Additionally, the teaser provides a better look at the button layout, door pads, and high-end soft-touch finishes used throughout the interior. Mahindra’s versatile seating arrangements, which allow both rows to slide and recline, will also highlight the SUV’s roomy three-row configuration.

With three sizable screens—a driver information screen, a central infotainment unit, and a dedicated passenger screen—the XEV 9S’s interior carries on Mahindra’s digital-first strategy. There will also be a panoramic sunroof that spans nearly the whole length of the roof, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a simple gear selector.

The SUV will support ultra-fast DC charging, have bidirectional capabilities, and strive for a range of more than 500 kilometres per charge. The Mahindra XEV 9S will also have EV-specific details, taking visual cues from the XUV.e8 concept and XUV700. Mahindra is preparing for a busy 2026, when the BE 6-based Rall-E and the redesigned XUV700 will make their premiere.

A central armrest, heated and ventilated seats with memory, adjustable headrests, and multi-zone climate control are some of the comfort-based amenities. The BE 6 and XEV 9e are anticipated to use the same battery and drivetrain technology as the INGLO platform.
