With the introduction of the Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh model, Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has expanded its battery pack lineup. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the new model, which features a dual detachable battery system with a real-world range of up to 100 km per charge.

The company continue to refine its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) strategy to make EVs more widely available. Customers can subscribe to the battery rather than buying it altogether thanks to the flexible ownership option, which drastically lowers initial costs. Pay-per-kilometre usage and other maintenance options are also included in the BaaS program.

It generates a peak torque of 26 Nm and a maximum power output of 6 kW (8 hp). The maximum speed is 70 kmph, and riders can alternate between Eco and Ride modes. The scooter has a level floorboard, a cushioned seat, and 27.2 litres of underseat storage.

The VX2 line is also supported by the company’s quickly growing ecosystem, which includes 700 service touchpoints and over 4,600 charging stations throughout India. One of the most affordable options available is the BaaS plan, which starts at Rs. 60,000 with a pay-per-kilometre fee of Rs. 0.90, while the new VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant costs Rs. 1.02 lakh.
The VX2 Go 2.2 kWh, VX2 Go 3.4 kWh, and VX2 Plus models are now part of the enlarged VX2 range and will be sold in Vida dealerships starting this month. Hero’s Vida is undoubtedly at the forefront of the fierce competition that has recently erupted in the entry-level electric scooter market as manufacturers strive for high-volume sales.
