1. Hyundai Inster-based EV
With localised batteries from Exide, Hyundai’s Sriperumbudur plant is anticipated to produce the electric small SUV, code-named HE1i, which is based on the Inster EV sold elsewhere. The 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs for the Inster EV may power a 97hp or 115hp motor installed on the front axle.
The smaller battery’s WLTP range is 300 km, while the larger unit’s is 355 km. Level 2 ADAS, auto climate control, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring, and two 10.25-inch displays for the instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment are extra features.
2. Maruti Suzuki eVitara
After starting its export business a few months ago, Maruti Suzuki is undoubtedly preparing to launch the e-Vitara, its first all-electric SUV. The eVitara, which is anticipated to arrive in showrooms through Nexa shops in the upcoming months, will have two battery versions with a stated range of over 500 kilometres when fully charged.
The cabin will have high-end technologies like Level 2 ADAS, a fully digital driver’s display, and a sizable touchscreen infotainment system.

3. Mahindra XEV 7e
By the beginning of 2026, Mahindra intends to launch a redesigned XUV700. Furthermore, Mahindra is making headway in the creation of the XEV 7e, a three-row electric SUV that is based on the XUV.e8 and also draws inspiration from the XUV700. The triple screen arrangement is one of the many similarities between it and the XEV 9e and BE 6.
4. Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV
Much of the hardware for the Urban Cruiser BEV will be shared with the e-Vitara’s Heartect e platform. Additionally, two battery pack options with very similar ranges on a single charge will be included.
The majority of the cabin amenities and equipment will be similar to those of the Maruti SUV, despite the SUV having unique exterior stylistic cues and somewhat different dimensions to represent Toyota’s design language. Soon after the e-Vitara is on sale, the Urban Cruiser BEV is anticipated to join the market.

5. New Gen Tata Sierra EV:
The famous Sierra badge, which evokes strong feelings of nostalgia among Indian SUV fans, is about to be revived by Tata Motors. The electric version is scheduled to premiere next month, and the gasoline and diesel versions are anticipated to follow in early 2019 to round out the portfolio. This will start the return tale.
The EV will have two battery packs, most likely identical to those found in the Harrier EV. As a result, we may anticipate that it will enable both bi-directional charging and DC fast charging, with a stated driving range of more than 500 kilometres between charges. Between the Harrier EV and the Curvv EV will be the Sierra EV.
