The HTX E [ER], which borrows several premium features from higher-spec trims, is sold with a massive 51.4 kWh battery unit, while the Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E is available with a 42 kWh battery pack.
Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E and HTX E (ER) Launched in India: With the introduction of the HTX E and HTX E (ER) trims, Kia India has increased the number of Carens Clavis EV variants available for this holiday season. The latter is an extended range variant with a 51.4 kWh battery, whereas the former is a mid-range model with a 42 kWh battery. Positioned above the base trim, HTK+, the new Carens Clavis costs Rs. 19.99 lakh, while the HTX E (ER) costs Rs. 21.99 lakh (both ex-showroom).

The new HTX E version of the Carens Clavis EV provides a sunroof with panoramic views, LED lights for all three rows, an auto-up/down feature for all windows, an electrochromic IRVM, a wireless charger, and a two-tone steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, in addition to the features found in the base HTK+ variant.
Kia also offers solar glass windows for UV protection, leatherette upholstery, a multicoloured mood lamp with footwell illumination, and an air purifier with virus protection. Except for the Level 2 ADAS feature, the HTX E (ER) grade comes with the same 17-inch Crystal Cut dual-tone Aero alloy wheels as the standard HTX model.

Performance-wise, the Kia Carens Clavis EV with a 42 kWh battery produces 133 horsepower, whilst those with a larger 51.4 kWh battery produce 169 horsepower. Both models have a stated range of 404 and 490 kilometres, respectively, and a maximum torque of 255 Nm. The Carens Clavis is now available in six different variations with the addition of the two new ones, and its ex-showroom costs in Delhi range from Rs. 17.99 lakh to Rs. 24.49 lakh.
