Skoda Octavia RS Sells Out in Minutes: On October 17, Skoda Auto will formally introduce the new Octavia RS. Customers could reserve the performance sedan for a nominal sum of Rs. 2.50 lakh through the company’s online platform three days prior to the event. All 100 of the initial batch’s units were sold out in under 20 minutes.

India-Specific Modifications
It’s interesting to note that the India-spec Octavia RS is based on the UK model, but it will not have some of the luxury amenities available elsewhere, such the panoramic sunroof and Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). The vehicle will be delivered directly from Skoda’s Czech manufacturing plant, preserving its European mechanical configuration and build quality.
Skoda Octavia RS Details and Availability
The new Octavia RS will be released as a single, fully-equipped model with changes from its global specification after being unveiled at the BMGE 2025. It will be imported by Skoda as a fully constructed unit (CBU). It will be offered in five exterior hues, and customer deliveries are expected to start on November 6.

The equipment list includes black inside finishes, aluminum pedals, and a three-spoke steering wheel with RS insignia. It has a 2.0L four-cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine that can produce up to 265 PS and 370 Nm of peak torque. Power is transferred to the front axle via a seven-speed DSG transmission that is connected to the powerplant.

Skoda Octavia RS Interior
The 2018 Octavia RS’s sportier exterior features 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, dual exhaust finishers at the back, and reprofiled bumpers with triangle air intakes. The cabin’s performance-oriented nature is enhanced by the addition of red stitching across the upholstery and massively bolstered bucket seats.
