Kia Carens Clavis New Variant HTX(O) Launch, which is available only with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine and adds six seating capacity to various modals.

Kia Carens Clavis New Variant Launch in India, providing mid-spec variant of the 6-seater has now greatly increased accessibility to these vehicles to their customers with the new launch. Mid-spec HTK Plus model, which starts at Rs 16.28 lakh (ex-showroom), was already available. The Carens Clavis 6-seater was formerly exclusive to the high-end HTX Plus model. But Kia has made bells and whistles and made more affordable for buyers by launching a new, higher-end HTX (O) model.

Kia Carens Clavis 6 Seater Variants

You had to get the top-spec HTX Plus version, which has a single turbo-petrol engine, if you wanted the Kia Carens Clavis with captain chairs for the middle row. This is now available from Kia in the HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), and HTX (O) models. Even better, consumers who choose to purchase a diesel-powered Carens won’t be left behind because the HTK Plus 6-seater type can be specified with the diesel engine.

Features like the remote engine start and 8-speaker Bose sound system, which were previously exclusive to the HTX Plus, are now more widely available with the HTX (O). You also receive all the kit from the HTX, including a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, two 12.25-inch screens (one for the digital driver’s display and the other for the touchscreen infotainment), and 64-colour ambient lighting.

In a view of safety, it has Standard Six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera. It also has electronic stability control (ESC) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) which also enhance overall safety of the vehicle.

HTX (O) Turbo-petrol DCT model, comes in six-seater and also in seven-seater variants, costs Rs 19.27 lakh. The HTK Plus Diesel AT and HTK Plus Turbo-petrol DCT models have ex-showroom costs of Rs 17.34 lakh and Rs 16.28 lakh respectively. All new HTK Plus (O) Turbo-petrol DCT variant costs Rs 17.05 lakh.

Kia Carens Clavis Powertrain

About engine specification, A 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine are the three powertrain options available for the Carens Clavis. 6-speed manual transmission with 1.5-litre petrol engine generates 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. The 160 PS and 253 Nm with the more potent 1.5-litre turbo-petrol can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission). A 1.5-litre diesel version features a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic (torque converter) transmission and produces up to 116 PS and 250 Nm.

One of the rivel is Toyota Innova Hycross, which is more expensive than the Kia Carens Clavis, which also competes with the Maruti Ertiga XL6 and Toyota Innova Crysta in Indian market.
