Official Statement from TKM
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Cars at TKM, stated, “Thanks to the landmark GST reforms by the Government of India and the onset of the festive season, market sentiments have been upbeat. At TKM, we have passed on the full benefits of GST to our customers, which has further boosted demand across our portfolio. With the festive season gathering momentum, we are confident of a strong performance ahead.”
Impact of GST 2.0 on Sales Growth
The primary driver of the strong sales figures has been favourable market conditions following the implementation of GST 2.0 reforms, which resulted in dramatic price decreases. TKM effectively reduced prices across its range by passing on the entire advantages to clients, providing buyers with an additional incentive to purchase during the early festive season.
Half-Yearly FY26 Sales Performance
The Japanese automaker’s first-half performance in FY26 has also been good, boosted by growing adoption of volume-based badge-designed models. TKM sold 1,84,959 automobiles between April and September 2025, representing a 14% increase over the previous fiscal year’s 1,62,623 units delivered.

Discounts Across Toyota’s Lineup
The Glanza currently has discounts of up to Rs. 85,300, while the Urban Cruiser Taisor is reduced by up to Rs. 1,11,100. The Rumion MPV, on the other hand, receives a relatively moderate reduction of up to Rs. 48,700. Buyers interested in the Urban Cruiser Hyryder can save up to Rs. 65,400, while the Innova Hycross is now lighter by Rs. 1,15,800.
Safety Updates and Brand Marketing
The redesigned Toyota Rumion made headlines last month for its major safety enhancements, including six airbags as standard across all models. Besides product improvements, TKM has been engaged in marketing and brand-building projects throughout the month. Toyota’s image was enhanced by its relationship with Japan’s globally recognised performance group, DRUM TAO, who served as brand ambassadors.
Major Reductions on SUVs and Premium Models
The Innova Crysta benefits the most among MPVs, saving up to Rs. 1,80,600. The Hilux pickup has been reduced by up to Rs. 2,52,700, while the Fortuner has been reduced by a significant Rs. 3,49,000, with the Legender variant coming in close after at Rs. 3,34,000. The Camry Hybrid’s costs have been dropped by Rs. 1,01,800, and the Vellfire has received one of the most significant discounts of up to Rs. 2,78,000.

Thanks to significant safety improvements throughout its lineup, GST 2.0 benefits, and alluring holiday promotions, Toyota Kirloskar Motor finished September 2025 with strong momentum. Product enhancements like the Rumion’s increased safety, the brand’s aggressive pricing strategy, helped increase consumer demand in both home and foreign markets. Toyota is well-positioned for continuous growth in FY26, particularly in the competitive SUV and MPV sectors, thanks to the leadership’s confidence and the onset of the holiday season.
