Engine and Performance Specs
The power mill from the previous model will stay in the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. It has a 5-speed gearbox and is driven by a 163.2 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine. This impressive machine delivers a maximum power of 15 horsepower and 14 Nm of torque.
Cosmetic Changes
According to pictures from the dealer meeting, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V will feature a new front end with a bolder design. However, it maintains the overall look of the existing model. The brand will also offer updated graphics and new color options for the Xtreme 160R 4V.

Mechanical Similarities
The motorcycle looks the same mechanically. It keeps the USD fork, rear monoshock, and overall shape. The bike will probably still have the same 163.2cc single-cylinder engine. It produces 16.9hp and 14.6Nm and comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
Feature Upgrades
The new Hero Xtreme 160R will gain new features, including cruise control. The brand recently launched the Hero Glamour X, which is the first in its segment to offer cruise control, and is now ready to add this feature to other bikes in its lineup.
Notably, the left-hand switchgear has a ‘Mode’ button, showing that riding modes have been added. This also means the bike now has a ride-by-wire throttle, which allows for cruise control, a feature also introduced on the new Glamour.
Advanced Tech and Connectivity
Also, the 2025 Hero Xtreme 160R 4R takes the new TFT panel from the Glamour X. In addition, it will include features like a USB Type-C charging port, multiple ABS modes, and Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and more.

Price and Competition
The current Xtreme 160R 4V costs Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is likely to be priced Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 higher. When it launches, it will compete again with the TVS RTR 160 4V. The RTR 160 4V offers a TFT display with Bluetooth, along with traction control and a projector headlamp with LED DRLs.

PPX Saying
The 2025 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V brings meaningful upgrades with cruise control, a TFT panel, riding modes, and improved connectivity, making it a more tech-savvy motorcycle in its segment.
While it keeps the same engine and chassis, its new features and bold design tweaks give it an edge. With a price hike expected, it will compete directly with the TVS RTR 160 4V, setting up an exciting battle in the 160cc sporty commuter space.
These additions put the motorcycle in line with growing customer expectations, especially younger buyers who want more than just raw performance.
