1. Nissan Tekton

With the forthcoming Tekton, Nissan is getting ready to make a significant return to the midsize SUV market. Launched in the first half of 2026, the SUV will use the same platform as the next Renault Duster, but it will have a more muscular and squared-off design that draws inspiration from Nissan’s global portfolio, which includes the Patrol. It will be one of Nissan’s most important debuts in the Indian market in recent years and is anticipated to place a strong emphasis on road presence and distinctiveness.
2. Mahindra XUV700 Facelift

The first significant update for the flagship ICE SUV is ultimately scheduled for early January 2026. The revised XUV700 will have a completely redesigned interior in addition to minor exterior design changes. Among other improvements, the cabin will have a new triple-screen arrangement, a sleeker dashboard, and higher-quality materials. Under the hood, however, Mahindra is anticipated to stick with the current 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, which are available with both manual and automatic transmissions, maintaining its tried-and-true mechanical package.
3. New Generation Renault Duster

Additionally, Renault is returning the Duster nameplate to India. The CMF-B platform, which will be heavily customised for Indian conditions, will serve as the foundation for the new generation model, which is scheduled to launch on January 26. A variety of gasoline engines and manual and automatic transmission options are probably going to be available. The new Duster will be more upscale and more equipped than its predecessor.
4. 2025 Tata Sierra ICE

The historic Sierra brand from Tata is returning in a contemporary form, and this time it will be available with internal combustion engines in addition to its electric variant. Both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of Tata’s planned 1.5-litre gasoline engine, which is anticipated to produce 168 PS and 280 Nm, will be available for the new Sierra. The selection will also include a 1.5-litre diesel engine that can be mated to both manual and automatic gears.
